To add calendars, simply choose from content edit/add menu; you can add multiple calendars. Supports all calendars on iPhone including birthdays. Customize your display period. Touching on the header prompts the app to read your calendar name, today’s date, then reads through your schedule.

Weather

Choose edit content - [+] - Weather to add weather item. Enter zip code, city name or airport code to add location. You can also add multiple weather items for multiple cities. Weather forecast periods can be selected from “today only” through up to 7 days.

Stock Price

For stock prices, go to Setting - edit - [+] then VoiceBrief will show you an empty list. To add stock items press [+] button and simply enter the stock symbol or company name. The stocks can be re-ordered or edited. Touching on the header’s price tag icon changes the display type. Performing the swipe action on the stock cell will show you a detailed view of the item.

RSS news feeds

Choose news feeder from Setting - Edit content - [+].
Your news source is selected by touching “Search and add”. News RSS URL is searched based on the keyword you type. Multiple news items can be added. Select number of news items, reorder list, then Play! Reporter can have different voice from Announcer for easy listening. Swipe action on the cell give you detail page browser. Simply swipe back when you are done.

Gmail Inbox feed

Gmail Inbox Feed from google is also supported. It fetches unread emails from your inbox and summarize the contents to two lines and reads it. Please note that Full message is not read but only summary. However, when setup the accont, you will be directed to Gmail’s O-Auth page to grant email access to your Voice brief app. Swipe action on the cell let’s you browse full message at the gmail mobile site.

Facebook

Developer’s favorite item. Listening to what friends say or listen to a dialog of your friends are so much fun. Simply add facebook from Setting - Edit content - [+] - Facebook. You will go through facebook’s O-auth authorization. You can turn on/off the comment reading option.

Twitter

Twitter is one of the perfect fit for Voice Brief. Simply add twitter and go through twitter’s authorization only once after Voice Brief installation. Play and listen what people tweeted, swipe header to tweet yourself, swipe cell to browse detail.

Custom sentence

Voice Brief also lets you add your own words. Well, this is smallest feature of Voice Brief, but not the least important one. Use custom sentence for Greetings or end of list message. You can add multiple items of custom sentence, anywhere in the list.
